Bombay Enterprise powers productivity with RICOH

A source of vivid print solutions, Mumbai-based Bombay Enterprise caters print jobs right from small scale to industrial level using a fleet of high-end presses and machines. With a new mission to scale up print productivity, the company has invested in the all-new RICOH Pro C9500, a high-speed digital colour production press, supplied and installed by Monotech Systems Limited—a globally acclaimed Indian machine manufacturer and one-stop solution provider for the printing and packaging industry.

Having been prominently in the offset and commercial printing market over the last two decades, serving for customers who are in print contracting and consultancy businesses as well as many others from different sectors, Bombay Enterprise caters arrays of outstanding and bespoke end-products such as business cards, invitation cards, brochures, clothe & garment tags, etc. The company is backed by a team of 12 highly-skilled and experienced printing and production professionals.   

Telling about the company’s establishment, Mr. Dipu Devda, Operational Director, Bombay Enterprise, narrates, “In the beginning, we were into offset printing, then gradually expanded to digital production printing with a focus on print embellishment using an AccurioShine 3600. Nevertheless, what we felt was the shortage of a digital colour production press which we eventually found in the RICOH Pro C9500. We are now empowered to boost productivity with this digital workhorse from Monotech Systems Limited.”

Mr. Dipu adds, “Prior to the RICOH Pro C9500, we used to manage everything of digital printing barely with a line of multifunction printers (MFPs). It however hampered our productivity and eventually couldn’t generate appropriate volume and quality of prints which we required to meet the increasing demands from our quality-conscious clients who are dwelled in both the domestic and international markets.”

He continues, “Over the years, we keep expanding our client base as a result of our team’s commitment and constant upgrades of our machine portfolio and many new developments on various fronts. We have been working for some offshore clients who are from the cities like New Jersey and Dubai. Our investment in the new RICOH Pro C9500 has garnered us the advantages of producing higher print volume and textured graphics. Media flexibility of this RICOH workhorse is magnificent.”

Printing in the industry’s leading resolution of 2400x4800dpi on lightweight as well as heavyweight media to produce dazzling textured graphics, RICOH Pro C9500 takes in stocks right from 40gsm up to 470gsm. “The press’ media handling capability and speed are some of its attributes that actually impressed us,” tells Mr. Dipu, adding, “Its upgradable speed of 135ppm meets everything we require on time. Currently, we are producing around 30,000 sheets in 8 hours with this RICOH digital workhorse.”

Moreover, RICOH Pro C9500 is bundled with EFI® Fiery® Digital Print Servers, a crucial tool to optimise efficiency and quality in print operations. The servers’ intuitive Fiery® Command WorkStation® is designed to facilitate precise job management and colour control, enabling quick production of personalised products with the press’ variable data printing capabilities in exceptional RIP speeds and smooth PDF workflows. “We further look ahead to getting more such capable machines, doubtlessly from Monotech Systems Limited,” emphasises Mr. Dipu.
