Mr. Selvin A, Managing Director of Creative Printers, narrates how they have grown over the years to become what they are today. “In the beginning, we started like any other typical reprographic shop, engaging only in the so-called Xerox or photocopy job and commercial printing using some digital multifunction printers. He continues, “Along with the changing customers’ requirements, increasingly demanding for improved print quality, sharper textures, vivid colours, and larger graphic sizes, we eventually adopted some 4-colour presses and other production machines.”
According to Mr. Selvin, their current activities engulf everything about printing & print finishing in all formats, textures, and quality using an array of highly advanced and capable machines. “Digital printing, flex & vinyl printing, die-cutting, sticker scoring, shape cutting, and many other associated tasks are now done seamlessly at our three different branches—first one is Creative Printers at Palayamkottai; second one is C Prints at Tirunelveli Junction; and thirdly, Creative Prints at Bypass Kurichi, Melapalayam,” he mentions.
A strong team of 40 skilled staff members is now taking care of the company’s three different branches. In addition, a strong machine portfolio comprising the advanced digital colour production presses and post-press equipment comprising Canon imagePRESS V1000, Canon imagePRESS C810, PixelGlow Lumina, to mention a few, is boosting the vigour behind Creative Printers’ current competency in printing and production of turnkey graphic print solutions. “Earlier, we used to outsource print jobs to some partners based in Chennai, Sivakasi, and Coimbatore. We no longer do it because we are capable of everything in-house today. We now cater 100,000 copies a day,” says Mr. Selvin.
Telling why they have opted for the PixelGlow Lumina, Mr. Selvin recalls, “When our customers started demanding for spot UV, gold foiling and such applications, we were in pursuit of a right machine. We saw the live demo of PixelGlow Lumina at Monotech Systems Limited and immediately decided for it. After all, we still feel proud of being the first owner of this print embellishment machine in entire south. It has been nearly one year since we installed the machine and running productively to change the game of print embellishment. A compact digital UV print embellishment machine, PixelGlow Lumina is capable to operate at the speed of 60sph (sheets per hour), which eventually keeps it up with Creative Printers’ fast-paced production. It handles varieties of papers ranging from 130gsm up to 600gsm in maximum size of 14″x20″ for larger and more dynamic graphics in resolution of 600x600dpi.
