In an interaction with Imaging Solution, Mr. Priyatosh Kumar, Associate Director and Head of Graphic Communications & Device Technology, FUJIFILM India, shares about brand’s product line, business strategy for the Indian market and future plans.

Please brief us about Fujifilm’s target segments, print solutions and their purposes and merits.

At FUJIFILM India, we cater to a broad range of professional printing customers varying from commercial printers and in-plant print shops to photo labs, signage converters and enterprise clients. Our portfolio spans across digital production printing, photo imaging, wide-format signage and enterprise multifunction devices. The Revoria and ApeosPro series address high-end commercial and production printing needs, offering exceptional colour accuracy, automation, and short-run profitability. For studios and photo labs, our imaging solutions deliver consistent colour reproduction and archival quality. In signage and wide-format printing, we enable durable, versatile and energy-efficient print applications across multiple media types, while our enterprise MFDs bring secure, efficient and mobile-enabled workflows to corporate environments.

How did your brand fare in the last year and what is your current market share?

Last year, we recorded double-digit growth across key business categories, particularly in digital production printing where the Revoria series has been widely appreciated by commercial print providers, quick printers & Photo Labs. Our approach is to combine cutting-edge technology with long-term service excellence, ensuring consistent performance and sustainable profitability for customers.

Brief us about your recent launches and the market response?

In 2025, FUJIFILM India introduced the Revoria Press PC1120 with its advanced 6-colour engine, the versatile Revoria E1 series for high-volume monochrome printing, the ApeosPro line for light and mid-production colour, and upgraded Apeos multifunction devices that are compact, high-speed A4 monochrome devices designed for efficient service counter and small-to-medium business operations. The market response has been extremely encouraging, with customers particularly valuing the quality, media versatility, automation and cost efficiency delivered by these products.

How do you educate and motivate your partners? Brief us about your recent tie-up with Redington?

Our supply channel is operated through a hybrid channel structure that includes national distributors, regional partners, solution integrators, and direct enterprise engagement, to reach diverse customer segments. We focus strongly on partner capability building (through technical certifications, hands-on demonstrations, joint business planning, and marketing support) and inspire them with prompt marketing incentives. Our partnership with Redington is a strategic step in strengthening the last-mile distribution and expanding Fujifilm’s footprint in India’s rapidly growing production printing market.

What role do mobile printing and AI play in your solutions?

AI has become the new normal across industries such as logistics, healthcare, IT, and communication, and its impact on print technology is transformative: from layout optimization and imposition to real-time color correction, AI minimizes human error and enhances output quality. Advanced systems like our Revoria Press, leverages embedded AI to automatically detect and correct image issues, making printing more intuitive while maximizing productivity and reliability. FUJIFILM recognizes the potential of AI as the new standard of digital printing.

What is your brand philosophy and USPs over your competitors?

Our philosophy is based on ‘Value from Innovation’ and is guided by the purpose of ‘Giving the world more smiles.’ Our USPs include superior inkjet technologies for offset-rivalling quality, automated workflows reducing waste, and tailored high-end products outpacing our competitors in niche efficiency and eco-friendliness. Our expertise lies in our color reproduction and material science which gives us a strong advantage in toner technology, color range, and image stability, making our print quality stand out, especially for high-end photo and commercial printing. Additionally, our flagship Revoria Press PC1120 offers a 6-color print engine provides expressive power. We are one of the few global players that manufacture the printhead, develops the ink chemistry, and builds the end-user system.

What are your future plans in terms of new launches, market expansion, etc?

We will continue to launch new products with AI and automation at the core  and expand our market presence through strategic partnerships and deeper penetration in packaging and commercial sectors. At the same time, we will also deepen our penetration in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, where demand for digital printing is accelerating among new-age entrepreneurs.
