Relief to Importers, Compatible Brands and End-Users of Mono-Toner Cartridges as Government Stalled Anti-Dumping Duty (ADD)!

In the year 2026, we wish you all will all carry forward your successes, achievements and good memories, and leave behind worries and failures.

A major development for the imaging industry is the stalling the Anti-Dumping Duty (ADD) on the mono-toner cartridges for at least one year. Even though ADD is essential to create self-reliant India, some prominent imaging players believe that the domestic ecosystem is still at the formative stages to develop most of the necessary mono-toner cartridge variants and the time is not ripe to impose ADD which may do more harm than good to the industry and the users by pushing up prices. For importers and also end users, stalling ADD is a relief. Maybe in future ADD will be beneficial to the industry.

Next, the steep fall in the value of INR vs USD continues to worry importers in all industries as it will push up costs and then the prices of end products. This fall tend to push up the costs of imported cartridges and components.

We all hope, the 2026 will see more positive developments.
