Itone Plans to Launch New Cartridges, Add New Partners and Expand its Network

Itone is a Mumbai-based provider of a wide range of high-quality compatible consumables for copiers, printers, and multifunctional devices, as well as remanufacturing components, raw materials and spare parts. In an interaction with the Imaging Solution magazine, Mr. Sandeep Sanghvi, CEO of Itone, shares about their company’s value system, vision, and future plans.

Please brief us about Itone’s brand policy?

Currently, we supply a wide array of mono and color refill toners and finished cartridges; and compatible materials, spare parts, and components for remanufacturing cartridges. Trust, integrity, and commitment are at the core of our philosophy and quality & consistency are the key attributes of our products. As a result, our client-base and product range increased gradually over time and helped us to establish our brand. Customer Satisfaction and to be No. 1 in the minds of our customers is our main focus. We procure and collaborate only with top quality global manufacturers worldwide. The only way aftermarket players could compete with the OEM consumables is by providing high quality products at affordable prices to win the trust of the customers.

What measures do you take to remain competent in the market?

We engage in continuous trainings for our team. Hours and hours of learnings. We are expanding our marketing activities to strengthen our presence and awareness even in remote areas. We are continuously increasing our product range to give more options to our clients. We try and keep improving on a continual basis by making changes to our systems, processes, and structures and streamlining our operations. We try to leverage latest technology whereverand whenever appropriate.

How Itone is doing in the market and what are your channel initiatives?

I believe the right person to ask this question would be any of our customers. (We would be more than happy to provide customer references). As mentioned earlier, we are continuously increasing our product range to give more options to our clients. At the same time, we are always increasing our customer base. We are increasing members of our team to help cater the organization growth. We have always been open, transparent, and believed in building long-term relationships, be it our customers, suppliers, our team members, even your magazine.

What future do you see for Make in India?

India is the biggest emerging market. Driven by a supportive government, today, there are plenty of opportunities in toner manufacturing, assembling and component manufacturing. However, increased domestic consumption is essential for the Indian manufacturers to scale up and then export. Substantial investments are needed to manufacture and maintain the quality in a profitable manner. Next, for the Made in India products to be successful, domestic manufacturers should develop trust among customers through providing high quality and consistency. That will help to push up demand in the domestic market, increase production volumes and profits and then export successfully.

What are your future plans?

We want to be known for the ethics, high standards, and quality of our relations. We want to be No. 1 in the minds of our customers. Next month, we are initiating a new project. We are starting to fill our own cartridges in our production facility. We are now importing a wide range of empty toner cartridges. These empties are using high quality resin and are made from pure materials making the quality most stable. The materials we use are the best in the industry. Many might not be aware, but a lot of the aftermarket suppliers use recycled materials, which lowers their costs. As you know, the quality of toner cartridges made from recycled materials is very unstable and may contain toxic substances. Second, since we also import the toners, we control the quality of the toner filled. So customers can be rest assured that they are getting top quality and consistent cartridges with accurate amount of filling.
