JET TEC Info-Consumables to Continue to Maintain High Quality Standards and Plans to Start Manufacturing of Imaging Consumables in India Soon

JET TEC Info-Consumables (India) Pvt Ltd, a Mumbai-based company established in 1999, is an importer and distributor of imaging products widely acclaimed for their high quality and clear printing. In an interaction with Imaging Solution Magazine, Mr. Rohit Shah, President, JET TEC, about the company’s initiatives and future plans of the organization.

Please give a brief list of the variants (such as toner cartridges, toners, inks, accessories) you currently provide.

At JET TEC Info-Consumables (India) Pvt. Ltd., we provide a comprehensive range of imaging consumables under our flagship brand JET TEC. Our product portfolio includes compatible toner cartridges, toner powder, OPC drums and a wide array of printer accessories and spare parts. Our offerings cater to most major printer brands and models used across the Indian market, ensuring customers a reliable and cost-effective alternative to OEM supplies.

What are your merits (USPs) regarding the above-mentioned products you provide and how they are selling in the market?

Since our founding in 1999, JET TEC has focused on delivering consistent quality, superior performance, and affordability. Every product undergoes stringent quality and yield testing to match or exceed OEM standards. Our key strengths lie in: 1. High reliability and print quality, 2. Competitive pricing, and 3. Strong post-sales service and technical support. Our products have earned strong acceptance across the corporate, educational, government, and retail segments, and we continue to see growing demand across metros as well as Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities. We source premium-quality raw materials such as OPC drums, toner powders, chips, and other components from Japan, Singapore, China, Germany, and several other technology-leading countries.

What new imaging consumables or variants do you plan to launch in the near future?

We have already acquired State & Central Government Permissions, Factory License and related Approvals for setting up a full-fledged Manufacturing Unit. We plan to start out GeM Assessment work very shortly to ensure that our partners are able to supply our high-quality toner cartridges to their government customers. We always believe in Organic Growth rather than Hyped up Marketing models to ensure consistent growth over a period. Looking ahead, we plan to introduce new-generation consumables compatible with the latest printer models offering better value to Customers. Our R&D team is also working on sustainable packaging and recycling initiatives to further our environmental commitment.

Which geographic areas do you cover, how many partners do you have, and how do you motivate them?

JET TEC has built a strong nationwide distribution network, covering all major metropolitan areas and extending deep into regional markets. This year, we are adding over 200 new partners across Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities to expand our reach and ensure quicker product availability to customers. We maintain a close relationship with our partners through training programs, marketing support, incentive schemes, and regular communication. Our approach is collaborative — we grow together with our channel partners, empowering them with the right tools and knowledge to succeed.

Government is about to impose anti-dumping duty on the imported mono-laser toner cartridges. What is your comment on this?

We welcome the government’s proposal to impose anti-dumping duty on laser toner cartridges imported from China. This is a positive and much-needed step toward protecting the interests of domestic manufacturers and ensuring fair competition in the market. For several years, the Indian imaging consumables industry has faced intense pressure from unfairly low-priced imports, impacting local manufacturers’ sustainability. The proposed duty will help create a level playing field, encourage domestic production, and generate local employment opportunities. It will also help the country retain valuable foreign exchange and promote the spirit of ‘Make in India’ and ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ by strengthening India’s self-reliance in imaging supplies.

What are your future plans in terms of reaching new markets, adding new partners, and your revenue targets?

JET TEC aims to continue its steady growth by expanding into new geographies within India and in select international markets. We are focusing on broadening our partner network, enhancing our product portfolio, and investing in innovation and technology upgrades. Our goal is to maintain consistent double-digit annual growth, supported by the introduction of eco-friendly and high-performance printing solutions and the strengthening of our e-commerce and B2B presence. As an Indian brand with over two decades of experience, JET TEC remains committed to becoming a leading force in the imaging consumables industry, delivering products that are Made in India, for India and beyond.
