Konica Minolta has announced the release of the bizhub 4221i, a new A4 monochrome multifunction printer (MFP) in the bizhub i-Series. The model integrates fax, print, copy, and scan functions into a compact all-in-one body, offering high-speed output and versatile performance for a wide range of industries and office environments.

High Productivity and Versatile Functions
With its 42 ppm engine, the bizhub 4221i handles high-volume print tasks such as store receipts and in-house documents with ease. The 50-sheet ADF enables quick duplex color scanning in a single operation, significantly improving document workflows.
A new 3.5-inch color touchscreen provides intuitive operation even for inexperienced users. The 2-in-1 ID card copy function allows front/back ID documents to be printed onto a single sheet, streamlining reception and administrative tasks.
Scanned data can be saved directly as searchable PDFs, supporting easy digital archiving and keyword retrieval. The device also includes built-in Wi-Fi and supports AirPrint, allowing direct printing from iPhones, iPads, Macs, and other Apple devices without driver installation.
Space-Saving Front Operation
All essential tasks—including paper refills, toner replacement, and operation panel access—can be performed from the front of the device, enabling installation against walls or on narrow counters. The compact design also supports fleet optimization when replacing larger devices, contributing to lower operating costs.
Enhanced Security Features
To address corporate information security needs, the bizhub 4221i includes secure print as a standard feature. Users can assign a password to confidential print jobs, which are stored temporarily on the device until the correct password is entered—preventing unattended documents and unauthorized viewing.
