Pantum, a prominent global brand, develops, manufactures and offers laser printers and toner cartridges across the world. In the recent years, Pantum has shown significant progress and market penetration in the Indian market and around the world in a short period of time. Mr. Nitish Gulati, who served as the Sales Manager for India for several years at Pantum, played a key role in establishing Pantum brand and its channel network in the country. Recently, he has been elevated to the level of Country Manager at Pantum. In an interaction with Imaging Solution Magazine, Mr. Nitish Gulati, shares about his new responsibilities as the Country Manager at Pantum, his vision and plans for the FY2026-27.

Please share about your journey with Pantum since you joined Pantum, your responsibilities in your new role as County Manager and how you feel about your elevation.

Before my elevation as Country Manager,I served as Pantum’s Sales Manager and worked on expanding the company’s presence in the Indian market and driving the growth of Pantum’s product portfolio. I collaborated closely with the team to develop and implement effective sales strategies.

My new role as the Country Manager include being responsible for overseeing all aspects of Pantum’s business in India; developing and executing business strategies to drive growth and expansion; leading a team of sales, marketing and after-sales-service; building and maintaining relationships with key partners and stakeholders; and ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.

After my elevation, I feel honoured and humbled to be given the opportunity to lead the Pantum’s India team; excited about the new challenges and opportunities that come with the role; proud to be part of a company that invests in its employees’ growth and development; and committed to driving success and growth for Pantum in India. I look forward to working with the team to achieve our goals and make a positive impact on the industry.

Brief us about how Pantum fared in the Indian market in 2025 and Pantum’s launches in 2025.

Pantum made significant strides in the Indian market in 2025. We launched Pantum 2310 Series printers and strengthened our channel partner network and strategic partnerships. The Pantum 2310 Series is expected to cater to a wide range of home users and small business needs, combining advanced features with cost-efficiency, touch panel & multi-connectivity. In 2025, we also won new tenders and delivered customized printers in the corporate segment.

In terms of performance, Pantum made growth in the channel and B2B business as well indicating a strong presence in the market. Our focus for 2026 is to satisfy the customers with the best solutions in product & service.

What are the latest trends in the printers, copiers and barcode printer segments in the Indian market?

The latest trends in the Printers and Copiers segment include:

Multifunction Printers (MFPs): Demand for MFPs is rising due to their ability to integrate printing, scanning & copying features into one device, which make them cost-effective and space-saving.

Wireless Connectivity: Wireless and cloud-based printing solutions are gaining popularity, enabling smooth operation from multiple devices.

Eco-Friendly Printing: There’s a growing trend towards environment-friendly printing solutions, with manufacturers focusing on energy-efficient and sustainable printers.

High-Speed Printing: The need for high-speed and large-format printers is increasing, driven by industries like advertising, architecture, and textiles.

How AI and mobile printing are integrated into your solutions

AI-powered printing: We’re integrating AI to optimize print quality, predict maintenance needs, and enhance security. Our AI-driven printers can automatically adjust settings for the best output and alert users about potential issues before they become problems through the PIPME Software.

Mobile printing: With our mobile printing solutions, users can print, scan, and manage documents directly from their smartphones. Our Pantum Mobile App allows for seamless connectivity, making printing on-the-go a breeze.

Cloud integration: We’re currently working on the integrating with popular cloud services, enabling users to print directly from cloud storage or scan documents straight to the cloud.

Explain how you’re doing on the MPS front.

Growing portfolio: We’ve expanded our MPS offerings to cater to diverse business needs, from SMBs to large enterprises.

Cost optimization: Our MPS solutions help customers reduce printing costs through optimized device deployment and managed supplies.

Proactive support: Our MPS includes proactive monitoring and maintenance ensuring minimal downtime and maximum productivity.

Security focus: We’re enhancing our MPS with advanced security features, like secure print and user authentication, to protect sensitive data.

Client partnerships: We’re building long-term partnerships with clients, understanding their unique needs and providing tailored MPS solutions.

Our goal is to make printing simple, secure, and sustainable for our customers.

What is your supply channel structure and how do you educate and motivate your channel partners?

Multi-tier distribution: We have a multi-tier distribution model with authorized National distributor as Kaynes, T2 and T3 Partners and resellers across India.

Channel partner training: We conduct regular training programs to educate our channel partners about our products, solutions, and sales strategies.

Incentive programs: We offer attractive incentives, such as rebates, schemes, and marketing support, to motivate our channel partners.

Marketing support: We provide marketing material, product demos, and campaign support to help our partners promote Pantum products.

Technical support: Our technical team provides dedicated support to our channel partners, ensuring they have the expertise to address customer queries.

We are also developing schemes to recognize and reward our top-performing partners through our Partner Excellence Program, driving motivation and loyalty.

What are your plans for the FY2026-27 in terms of new product launches, market expansion etc in the Indian market?

As the Pantum’s Country Manager, I’m excited to share that in the FY2026-27 we will extend our product-line launching more new products to cater to diverse business and SOHO needs. Our goal is to provide faster, more convenient and economical printing experiences to our customers. In a nutshell, our key Initiatives planned for the FY2026-27 include:

Product Launches: Introducing high-speed Mono Printers, Color Printers, A3 Machines & Inkjet printers to expand our portfolio.

Market Expansion: Deepening our presence in India, focusing on tenders and corporate segments.

Channel Partner Network: Strengthening partnerships with distributors in Tier 2 & 3 cities as well.

Customer Support: Enhancing on-site services and warranty support for our customers.

We’re committed to delivering value-driven solutions and expanding our footprint across India. With the Indian market’s growing demand for printing solutions, we’re poised for significant growth. Our mission is to provide users with reliable, cost-effective and environmentally friendly printing solutions.
