TVS Electronics Limited (TVSE), headquartered in Chennai, designs, is a leading manufacturer and provider of IT products, dot matrix printers, point of sale terminals, Thermal and label printers, keyboards, mobiles, mice, uninterruptible power supplies, and set top boxes. During an interaction with Imaging Solution Magazine, Mr. Chakravarthy Balaji, Vice President & Chief Business Officer – Products and Solution Group, TVS Electronics Ltd, shares insights on innovation, growth strategy, market trends, and future-ready technology solutions.

Please brief us about how TVSE fared in 2025 and the brand’s recent launches.

The year 2025 marked a strategic expansion for TVS Electronics as we entered the fast-growing laser printer segment with the launch of TVSE Blaze. This move aligns with our long-term vision to build a strong presence in the enterprise imaging and printing solutions market in India.

In the coming years, India’s laser printer market is expected to maintain steady growth driven by the demand from sectors such as government, banking, education, logistics, and corporate enterprises. Recognizing this opportunity, TVSE introduced the Blaze series to deliver high-performance, reliable, and cost-efficient printing solutions tailored for Indian business environments.

Within two quarters of the launch, the market response has been encouraging, with growing adoption across enterprise customers, system integrators, and channel partners. Over the past six months, we have expanded our Blaze portfolio with single-function and multifunction laser printers, designed for demanding office environments where reliability, speed, and cost efficiency are critical.

The recent Industry recognition has also reinforced the brand’s early success. Being recognized as ‘New Arrival Laser Printer Brand (MII) of 2025’ at the Tech Partner Summit 2026 reflects the growing confidence of the channel ecosystem and industry stakeholders in the TVSE Blaze brand.

Tell us about your latest product portfolio and customer response with special focus on printers?

Our primary focus in the imaging space today is the TVSE Blaze laser printer portfolio, which has been designed specifically to address the evolving needs of Indian enterprises and institutions.

The Blaze series currently includes single-function laser printers and multifunction devices that support printing, scanning, and copying capabilities. These devices are engineered for high productivity with features such as fast print speeds, optimized toner efficiency, and durable components designed for higher duty cycles.

One of the key differentiators for TVSE Blaze is its competitive cost-per-print model, which is a critical decision factor for enterprise customers managing large print volumes. By combining reliable hardware with optimized toner performance, we can deliver a balanced value proposition between performance and operational cost.

The market response has been particularly strong from enterprise customers, government departments, and system integrators who require dependable printing infrastructure for large-scale deployments. As awareness grows and the channel ecosystem expands, we expect TVSE Blaze to further strengthen its presence in the Indian laser printer market.

What are the latest trends in the laser printer segment in the Indian market?

The laser printer market in India is evolving rapidly, driven by changing workplace dynamics and increasing digitization across industries.

One of the most significant trends is the growing emphasis on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). Organizations today are evaluating printing solutions not just based on the initial hardware cost, but also on long-term operational factors such as toner efficiency, device durability, and service reliability.

Another major trend is the increasing demand for multifunction devices, which combine printing, scanning, and copying capabilities into a single compact system. This helps organizations optimize office space and improve workflow efficiency.

Additionally, with the growth of sectors such as e-commerce, logistics, BFSI, and government digitization initiatives, the demand for reliable and high-volume printing solutions continues to remain strong. Organizations are also increasingly adopting network-enabled and wireless printers that allow seamless integration into modern IT environments.

How are AI and mobile printing integrated into your solutions?

The modern workplace is becoming increasingly mobile and digitally connected, and printing infrastructure must evolve accordingly.

TVSE Blaze printers are designed to support mobile and wireless printing capabilities, enabling users to print directly from smartphones, tablets, and network-enabled devices. This ensures greater flexibility and convenience for employees working in dynamic office environments.

Looking ahead, the integration of AI-driven analytics and intelligent device monitoring will play a key role in the future of enterprise printing. AI-enabled systems can help track usage patterns, predict maintenance requirements, and optimize toner consumption, thereby improving operational efficiency.

At TVSE, we are continuously evaluating these emerging technologies to ensure that our solutions remain aligned with the evolving needs of modern digital workplaces.

Explain how you are doing in the Managed Print Services (MPS) space.

Managed Print Services (MPS) is becoming an increasingly important component of enterprise IT infrastructure, as organizations look for ways to reduce printing costs and streamline device management.

TVSE sees significant potential in this space, particularly in sectors such as government, banking, education, and large enterprises, where organizations typically operate large fleets of printers.

With the growing adoption of the TVSE Blaze portfolio, we are actively exploring opportunities to support customers through managed print operations, proactive service support, and optimized consumables management. The objective of MPS is to provide customers with greater visibility and control over their printing environment while ensuring maximum uptime and operational efficiency.

What is your supply channel structure and how do you educate and motivate your channel partners?

The success of a technology brand in India is closely linked to the strength of its channel ecosystem. At TVSE, we have built a robust channel structure that includes company distribution partners, retailers, value-added resellers, and system integrators. This extensive network allows us to reach customers across diverse industry verticals and geographic regions.

We strongly believe in empowering our partners through continuous product training, technical enablement programs, sales engagement initiatives, and joint customer interactions. In addition, marketing support programs and partner incentive initiatives help motivate the channel community and encourage market expansion.

Another key advantage for our partners is TVSE’s strong nationwide service infrastructure, which ensures reliable after-sales support and enhances customer confidence in the brand.

What are your plans for FY2026–27 in terms of new product launches and market expansion?

The coming year will be an important phase for expanding the TVSE Blaze laser printer portfolio and strengthening our market presence.

In FY2026–27, we plan to introduce new laser printer models with enhanced performance, higher printing speeds, and advanced multifunction capabilities to cater to the growing needs of enterprise and government customers.

We also aim to significantly expand our channel ecosystem across Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, where demand for reliable and cost-effective printing solutions is increasing rapidly. In parallel, we will continue investing in smart printing technologies, improved device management capabilities, and enhanced service support frameworks that enable organizations to operate more efficient printing environments.

With these initiatives, our goal is to establish TVSE Blaze as a strong and trusted laser printer brand in the Indian market, delivering reliable, high-performance printing solutions for enterprises, institutions, and government organizations.
