Zhono’s chips supply fields including office printing, consumables, authentication, and other related industries. Please brief us about different chips you provide and their role in the cartridges.
Zhono, a high-tech enterprise specializing in integrated circuit design, has been significantly involved in the general consumables market for printers for over a decade, mastering technologies including encrypted chip design and general consumable chip design. At present, Zhono’s compatible chip inventory covers over 10,000 models of mainstream laser printers, digital copiers, inkjet printers, thermal transfer printers, 3D printers, and more. Printer compatible chips reduce printing costs by enabling the use of highly cost-effective compatible toner cartridges as alternatives to OEM supplies. These chips also feature authentication capabilities, storing usage data such as installation dates and printed page counts.

Zhono chips are marketed in over 190 countries and territories worldwide, with subsidiaries and offices established across Europe and US, alongside a network of local distributors in multiple markets. Over the past decade, Zhono has been dedicated to providing high-quality compatible chips and excellent after-sales service in the Indian market. Through persistent R&D investment, we have built a complete product line tailored to India’s unique needs, including a full range of printer chips.
Brief us about your R&D, QC and manufacturing setup?
Zhono is committed to providing customers with high-quality and reliable chips, dedicating 50% of annual revenue to R&D. Zhono has a strict chip testing process. Before each chip is released to the market, it undergoes more than 20 rigorous tests, including lifecycle testing, serial number verification, on-machine testing (each chip must print at least 200 pages), color density testing, MPS testing, and online upgrade testing, among others. Additionally, over 1,600 printers and copiers are used for chip testing to ensure that the product quality and reliability meet industry-leading standards. Furthermore, Zhono holds international certifications for ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 9001 standards.
What new products do you plan to launch in the coming 6 months?
Within the next 6 months, we will launch compatible chips for HP 2220 series printers and compatible chips for HP’s latest 938 series inkjet printers. Simultaneously, we will continue upgrading the Progeasy 3 chip resetter to support more printer models, making it the market-leading choice for chip resets.
What is ZHONO’s progress so far and the future expansion plans for the Indian market?
Zhono maintains a leading position in India’s copier compatible chip market and is highly recognized by Indian customers. As demand for printer compatible chips continues to grow, driven by substantial cost-saving needs and a vast installed base of printers, we will further strengthen our R&D efforts to provide the Indian market with consistent and cost-effective compatible chips for printers, copiers, and various types of mini printers.
