Growlam Office Pvt Ltd, based in New Delhi, is one of the most trusted organizations in the Imaging Industry for Wholesaling, Importing, Trading and Supplying a large array of Office Supplies, including Lamination Machines and Laminating Pouch Films, Inkjet Photopaper, PVC Card Materials, Laser Toner Powders and Cartridges and more under their brand name Growlam. In an interaction with the Imaging Solution Magazine, Mr. Gaurav Khetterpal, MD, Growlam, shares about their brand & product policy, vision and future plans.
How did Growlam fare in the FY2023-24?
The FY2023-24 has been tough as compared to the previous year, as there has been a lot of unstable demand in some categories. However, we still managed to achieve growth for our product categories such as Photopaper, Lamination Machines and Toners.
What are Growlam’s merits as a provider of Imaging Consumables?
We source all the Imaging Products from the reliable manufacturers and suppliers in Korea, Japan and China. Our USP never changed over the years – we always provide products of high quality that benefit our customers and partners. When it comes to the page yield of our Cartridges, sharpness of our Laser & Copier Toners, and durability & longevity of our Lamination Machines and Pouches, we can vouch for the high performance of our products.
Please brief us on how your Lamination Segment is doing.
The demand in the Lamination Pouches, especially in the case of small sizes, has been low this year as compared to last year. To deal with this we are focusing on big size pouches. We also introduced an economical range of lamination pouches under our umbrella brand ‘DIGILAM’ which is being widely accepted in the market. We are focusing more on entry level laminators and lamination pouches which is helping us maintain our top line.
What challenges do you face in the Imaging Consumables market at present?
The low quality, substandard imaging consumables flooding the market are upsetting the market operating prices (MOP). My request to the all the brands is they should focus on better quality and fair margins which will help to maintain decent MOP and deliver decent quality to the customers.
How do you motivate your Partners and offer Service?
Recently, we have created an efficient, dealer-friendly system to take care of all the possible requirements and concerns of the partners. We ensure that our Partners / Dealers get the best of service. Even when margins are low, we still continue to offer regular attractive incentives to our partners on quarterly and yearly basis.
What are your plans for the next 1 year regarding new Product Launches, entering new areas, opening new branch offices, etc?
There is much we have covered and a lot to be done. We want to launch a complete range of RC Photopaper, Sublimation Paper and Inks, for which currently we are doing market research. In all the new products we launch, we will strive to provide the best quality to our customers as GROWLAM always stands for. This year we are aggressively exploring options to cut down our material delivery time across India. Also, we will be opening a new branch office in the East India region which will cut down the transit time considerably. We are also exploring new product categories which have good demand. To sum up, Growlam will continue to maintain and provide high quality products backed by great service to the customers and partners.
