Please brief us about your Journey so far, the New Logo and the latest focus.
After graduating in 1985, I founded ProDot around 1990 and this marked the beginning of a new era for me. This journey till date has been driven by collaborations, passion, and support from our customers, partners and associates. Today, ProDot has grown into a leading national level brand providing top-notch, budget-friendly, ‘Made in India’ Imaging Consumables and IT Solutions, including Printer Cartridges, Toner Powders, Inkjet Inks, Keyboards, Mice, Laptop Adapters, CCTV Cables, USB Hubs and more. We recently launched our new logo which reflects ProDot’s ‘New Confidence, New Quality Standards, Expanding Product Portfolio and Digitalization of Processes.’ Currently, we are expanding our manufacturing operations with increasing commitment to the Make in India initiative.
Please share about your newly launched ‘ProDot Confidence’ brand and its focus.
We gave the new brand name ‘ProDot Confidence’ exclusively for Imaging Products to resonate with the confidence and trust our partners and consumers have in our brand in the Imaging Industry. Based on the feedback from our customers, partners and employees, we want to bring out top class imaging products. We are in the process of expanding our domestic production facilities to manufacture most of the components we use in our products. However, ProDot will be continue to be the brand name for our IT Peripheral Productline.
What are your views about Make in India?
Currently, manufacturing Laser Printer Cartridges remain our key consideration, alongside producing our existing productline which includes Keyboards, Mice, Cables, etc. Our vision is anchored in establishing a mega factory encompassing three manufacturing units across a 15-Acre site soon to widen our operations to manufacture CCTV cameras, monitors, etc. We now offer customized OEM and ODM Services too which is a new endeavor for us. We are committed to our goal to domestically manufacture a comprehensive range of high-quality products within India’s borders.
How do you position your brand in the market?
Right now, we are manufacturing most products within India at our factory. We specialize in providing over 60 cartridge models, around 30 keyboard and mouse variants alongside other accessories like spike busters, toner powders, and components. Our sales and stock management teams operate efficiently ensuring timely deliveries from 15 locations across India. Serving through 700 distributors, we effectively reach 10,000 dealers nationwide.
What are your Vision and Future plans?
Our commitment goes beyond business – it’s about transforming our industry and affirming India’s self-reliance. We aspire to redefine our role in the industry – not just as a manufacturer, but as a catalyst for Innovation and National Pride. Our objective is to forge a legacy of Innovation, Resilience, and Commitment to our Nation’s progress and technological self-sufficiency and propel India towards a brighter future.
What message would you like to give to the Partners and the Industry?
I want to express our gratitude for the immense love and support from Indian consumers and channel partners. In the current global discourse around ‘Made in India,’ it’s imperative to align with our Nation’s Aspirations and contribute to its growth and self-sufficiency.
