Nippon, as National Level Business Partner, to Focus more on Selling Pantum Laser Printers & Consumables in India  

Nippon Consumable Pvt Ltd, founded in 1996 in Kolkata, led by its Director, Mr. Arun Kumar Sharaff, is an Authorized Business Partner for Pantum printers, consumables and for Pantum’s extended warranty care pack on pan-India basis. They also have their own brand Brell for imaging consumables including laser printer toners, inkjet printer inks, cartridge parts, and printer parts. Mr. Arun Kumar Sharaff has been in the imaging industry beginning in 1988 starting with manual and analog Xerox machine then diversifying into the printer consumables and spares business.

Mr. Arun Kumar Sharaff shares, “We have been associated with Pantum since 2017 as an Authorized Business Partner for their laser printers and consumables, technical support and we have nearly 50 dealer partners across India for Pantum Printer spares with about 2 partners in each of the major towns. Pantum printers are selling well because Pantum maintains quite high quality and their prices are quite affordable. Now Pantum is in the 3rd position in the laser printers segment in India as per reports. For Pantum laser printers, there is no competition from the compatible consumables because Pantum’s OEM consumables are quite affordable besides having top-class quality.

Mr. Arun Kumar Sharaff adds, “Now, coming to our own brand, Brell, our customers come mostly from West Bengal and the Northeast India.  For Brell products, we maintain very good quality; our prices are not too low or too high—they are affordable; we work on the basis of long-term relationship with our partners. We have about 70 dealer-partners in West Bengal and North-East for our brand Brell. Due to Covid and lockdowns, business has been down for the last 2 years. Right now we have recovered to about 70% of the pre-Covid levels. We hope things would get normal by April 2022 and the business will grow to the normal levels. Currently, Brell Compatible Toner forms 50%, Pantum consumables form nearly 40% and Pantum printers & services form 10% of our annual turnover (revenues) and we want to focus more on promoting and selling Pantum printers, consumables, and warranty care pack in 2022 and beyond.”
