Canon Files New Toner Cartridge-Related Patent Infringement Lawsuit in Korea

Canon Inc announced filing a complaint with the Seoul Central District Court of Korea against Tonet Inc which sells and distributes toner cartridges through its own website and other open market websites, for infringement of Canon’s Korean Patent.

Canon has reasonable grounds to believe that certain models of cartridges sold on the Korean market by Tonet Inc infringe the Patents. The purpose of the claim is to prevent these infringements and to collect damages for patent infringement in accordance with Korean law.
