UniNet Technical Director Mike Josiah has been named STMC Chairman by the International Imaging Technology Council, a trade association in North America comprised of imaging supplies dealers, remanufacturers, industry suppliers and consultants devoted to advocating and fostering the printer cartridge industry.
STMC, or Standardized Test Methods Committee is a global entity created to promote standardized test methods and best practices for the printer cartridge industry. Josiah has been an active member of the ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials), and he is one of the original certified STMC trainers who has been volunteering his time to train companies to obtain their STMC certification.
With over 30 years of experience in the imaging supplies industry, Josiah joined UniNet as technical director in 2007 and he is a recipient of several awards and accolades for his valuable contributions to the advancement of the industry. He is an active writer and contributor of technical articles for numerous trade publications worldwide.
“We congratulate Mike Josiah on this well-deserved appointment. We are very proud he is an integral member of our team and a force behind some of our most important initiatives. Mike is an inspiration and a leader, and we are confident he will further advance growth to the STMC and share best practices that can be adopted by businesses across the industry,” said Nestor Saporiti, CEO at UniNet.
“While I have always been proud to be one of the original certified trainers for the STMC, I’m deeply honored to take over as chairman,” Josiah said. “I know I have some big shoes to fill and I look forward to helping the STMC continue to grow, and also expand the use of the STMC guidelines throughout the industry.”
