Ninestar announced compatible printer cartridges will be available for Brother’s latest entry-level inkjet printers. According to reports, the Ninestar G & G black ink cartridges have pigmented ink or Everbrite ink, making them particularly well suited for text printing on plain paper. The color cartridges consist of dye inks, or Gloria inks, and are particularly well suited for photo printing on photo paper.

The page yield for the Ninestar cartridges is similar to that of the original Brother cartridges. The NP-B-3213BK black ink cartridge, which replaces Brother’s LC-3213BK, and the color cartridges have yields of up to 400 pages. For the smaller capacity cartridge, Ninestar’s NP-B-3211BK black cartridge and, NP-B-3211C, NP-B-3211M and NP-B-3211Y color cartridges, have a yield of up to 200 pages. The Brother LC-3211BK, LC-3211C, LC-3211M and LC-3211Y are also 200 pages.
