Static Control has released the first set in its PolySphere Toner line, exclusive polyester chemically produced toners (CPT) that offer OEM-quality performance. This groundbreaking offering is qualified for cartridges used in Dell 5130 and related printers, with more formulations and cartridge qualifications to come. There are many benefits to polyester CPT.
It has a lower melting point than traditional toners, allowing the printer to operate at lower fuser temperatures. Since toner fusing can account for 80% of the total power used by a printer, polyester CPT has led to more energy efficient printers. Polyester CPT is also more chemically compatible with color pigments than styrene and acrylic toners, meaning that prints are more vibrant and true-to-life. The toner also has a smaller particle size, a key factor in efficient toners. PolySphere toners easily meet page yield, and exhibit optimum transfer efficiency.“PolySphere toners have such a strong performance largely thanks to the proprietary surface treatment we use,” said Erwin Pijpers, Senior Vice President of Sales.
“The charging, flow and durability of each particle is affected by the surface treatment.”In the coming weeks, additional PolySphere toners will be qualified for a number of systems, including Fuji-Xerox and Lexmark offerings.“This is a huge achievement for our toner development and manufacturing team,” said Pijpers. “We are constantly developing the products the aftermarket needs to grow their business. This new line of color toners allows remanufacturers to offer an OEM-comparable system using the same technology as the OEMs, something that hasn’t been available until now.”
