Sharp <BP-90/70/60/55/50/C5/B5 series> digital MFPs and printers have received “Security Validation” after undergoing rigorous “Device Penetration Testing” conducted by Keypoint Intelligence with testing partner Agile Cybersecurity Solutions (ACS)*2Â in the United States. This security validation applies to a total of 44 Sharp models worldwide equipped with latest Controller Platform that was tested.
“Device Penetration Testing” evaluates device security against potential threats with a security assessment that investigates vulnerabilities in digital MFPs, including firmware and network connection pathways. The testing involves subjecting the devices to intentional cyberattacks to evaluate and verify the effectiveness of their security features. Products that meet the established criteria received “Security Validation” from Keypoint Intelligence.
Receiving “Security Validation” demonstrates that Sharp MFPs provide strong protection against cyberattacks and have been proven to offer robust security when equipped with the tested firmware and configured with the recommended settings.
Sharp is continually enhancing its security measures and has been doing so for many years. Moving forward, Sharp will continue to provide services that contribute to improving operational efficiency and promoting digital transformation in a more secure environment for businesses.
