China-based CUMTEIN has released its first self-developed master chip for printers. According to the company, the CPU processor integrated with the master chip of the printer is a processor based on the ARM V7-A architecture authorized by ARM. The company claims that the new release utilizes an advanced SOC structure, integrating seven function modules, designed for printers and scanners. It is said that the new chip can be used in laser/LED single function and multifunction printers, inkjet single function and multifunction printers, sublimation printers, thermal printers, label printers, POS receipt printers, 3D printers, and scanners. It is said that the chip can support running general operation systems as well as domestic Linux operation systems.
