Nilshikhar Marketing is a Patna-based (Bihar) distributor of imaging consumables and office automation products. Founded in 2011, Nilshikhar is a distributor for Bluestreak and Copian brands for imaging consumables in the Bihar region. Nilshikhar has appointed Distributor for Eastern India region for Kent World brand of office automation products which include lamination machines, lamination pouches, stationery, spiral binding machines, etc. Today, Nilshikhar, growing at an annual rate of 20%, wants to strengthen their presence in Bihar region for imaging products and expand into the surrounding states to provide Kent brand office automation products. Recently, Nilshikhar has also been appointed as Exclusive Distributors for Pristine Care Products Pvt Ltd for their inkjet media and other products.
In an interaction with NCN magazine, B.S. Baranwal, Business Development Manager, Nilshikhar, shares, “We are going to shortly open our branch offices in Kolkata and Lucknow. Right now we are Distributor for Bihar region for Copian, but as soon as we open our Kolkata office, we will be Distributor for whole Eastern India region for Copian products. As far as imaging products are concerned, our main focus is on compatible laser cartridges, compatible laser toners, and cartridge parts like OPC drum, etc. We are not focusing inkjet products or copier products.”
Nilshikhar has recently launched a special promotion offer on Kent lamination products with an aim to motivate their partners. Talking about general market trends and the recent GST law, Mr Baranwal comments, “Our main selling points are we offer good quality, our deals are transparent and we maintain good relations with customers. At present we operate only in Bihar for imaging consumables and we will expand to other states in the Eastern region once we open our office in Kolkata. Our focus remains more or monochrome products for imaging, not much on color. As far as Kent brand office automation products are concerned we have started our work of distributing in the other states also where our personnel are working.”
Regarding future plans, Mr Baranwal adds, “For imaging products, we want to establish strongly in Bihar region. Demand for compatible toners is growing. The demand for compatible inks is not much in this part of the country as many low-quality products are selling here bringing down customer confidence. As far as expanding our portfolio is concerned, if there are new products with good margin and vendor support, we are open to adding them to our list. Our immediate focus is expanding Kent range of office automation products across eastern India.”
