PrintReleaf and Electronics For Imaging Inc. (EFI) have partnered to provide the PrintReleaf reforestation service directly to commercial printing businesses. EFI is the global industry-leading developer of print production workflow software, helping printing businesses streamlines their processes and maximizes productivity. PrintReleaf guarantees, through its software and certified ecosystem, to plant a number of trees corresponding to the paper used in a printing project. Through the collaboration, the companies will enable commercial printers to offer their print customers the PrintReleaf reforestation service on any print job using paper. PrintReleaf will demonstrate the software at PRINT 17 in Chicago, Sept. 10-14.
Discussing the collaboration, PrintReleaf CEO and Founder Jordan Darragh commented, “Adopted by managed print services beginning in 2014, PrintReleaf has become a popular and effective approach for those focused on ecological responsibility. PrintReleaf automatically measures paper consumption and plants a number of trees equivalent to paper used in the customers’ desktop printer and copier fleets. Our collaboration with EFI, together with the popularity and market presence of EFI software, means that commercial printers around the world can offer their print customers an equivalent service, thus bringing verified reforestation to many more print customers.”
Although not integrated today, EFI is looking to work with PrintReleaf to determine the best options for future integration to one or more of their Productivity Software Suites.
Jeffrey White, general manager, Small and Medium Business Segment, EFI Productivity Software, commented, “EFI is pleased to collaborate with PrintReleaf on ecologically responsible efforts that help sustain the environment. We will continue to look for ways to help print companies achieve that in a relatively affordable manner. Over time, we look forward to opportunity to use PrintReleaf as part of EFI’s market leading business and production workflows.”
