Zhono bears the constant philosophy of doing the right thing immediately. In its production center, meeting customers’ needs is considered the right thing, and hence Zhono has established a series of standardized quality control processes to complete this task promptly.
Zhono strictly rejects substandard raw materials throughout every production procedures, striving for products with zero defects. To offer customers with high-quality products, Zhono has been sticking to six principles and kept improving accordingly.
- Establish and implement a quality management system
More than 80% of production issues are caused by improper management. Therefore, Zhono implements a quality management system, which supervises the entire production process from pilot introduction to mass production and delivery. Each step is ensured to strictly follow the production regulation as well as the SOPs.
For a better control off product quality, Zhono introduced a quality control plan to its existing management system since 2020. 21 production processes and 68 engineering control rules are set to ensure the earliest detection of potential risks during product manufacturing. Zhono has also specified corresponding and detailed precautions to avoid these quality risks.
- Address quality issues with management tools
To ensure product quality, Zhono has established standard production procedures by utilizing various quality management tools including “7 QC Tools” and “8D Problem Solving”. Additionally, Zhono also constantly updates its quality instruction manuals and procedures to optimize quality supervision. These measures constitute a PDCA (Plan, do, check, act) circle, which continuously propels Zhono to improve its product quality. Thanks to these tools, the number to quality issues has decreased significantly in recent years, and complaints have fell to zero per month. Zhono will continue its effort towards the goal of no complaint at all throughout an entire year.
- Inspire staff to take individual initiative and improve skills
Zhono operates an incentive system that recognizes outstanding employees monthly, thus inspiring other colleagues to strive for excellence. Engineering capability assessments and skill training are also conduction regularly to ensure efficiency and proficiency. Furthermore, Zhono’s Continuous Learning Incentive Program encourages staff to pursue external learning opportunities and certifications form a broader range, fostering company-directed and self-driven career development.
- Implement information-based management
Zhono applies the MES (manufacturing execution system), which can trace production information for each order and each model, thus simplifying workflow to optimize efficiency and performance. Moreover, thanks to proper production plans and internal information exchange, customers can enjoy a much shorter delivery time. For local customers, products can be shipped to them the same day they place orders.
- Strengthen quality inspection.
Zhono has strengthened its machine and PQ2 tests throughout the manufacturing process, from the stage of raw materials to finished products. For shipment, the company has enhanced OQC inspections and introduced random inspections, which has greatly reduced customer complaints over the past two years.
- Utilize an effective customer complaint management system
In December 2023, Zhono applied a CRM system where different departments can share customer complaints with each other.. By using this system, Zhono managed to handle complaints timely and efficiently. For complaints on specific quality issues, the quality control group will hold special meetings to analyze them thoroughly.
Through continuous implementation and optimization of the six points above, Zhono is confident in the quality of each chip delivered to its customers. In the future, Zhono will continue to optimize production quality management, positioning Zhono as a symbol of high quality.
