Delco Copier, founded in 2010, is a New Delhi-based provider of a wide range of printer and copier compatible and OEM imaging consumables. In 2020, the company celebrated its 10th anniversary with commendable success and growth. The company also sells laser and inkjet printers, copiers, and OEM consumables, in addition to compatibles under their own brand name Delco. In 2019, Delco added inks and ink cartridges to their portfolio. In an interaction with Imaging Solution, Mr. Sanjeev Chaudhary, Proprietor, Delco Copier, share their company’s strategy during pandemic and post-pandemic.
Mr. Sanjeev Chaudhary shares, “Business has been down due to Covid 2nd wave and the following lockdowns for the last two months, but we hope to see improvement from July 2021. And it may take till the end of 2021, before the businesses could completely recover and move forward, assuming that there will not be a 3rd Covid wave. But the demand for inkjet printers increased in the home segment due to Learn From Home and Work From Home. Every challenge comes with its own opportunities. If we all work together with patience, make the best use of the opportunities, we can come out victorious from Covid and be successful.”
Delco’s range of products includes laser printer and copier toners, toner cartridges, drums, lamination machines, black & color desktop printer inks, and cartridge parts. Now, Delco wants to focus especially on promoting inks of their own brand. Delco Copier is also an authorized partner of HP, Brother, Canon, and Epson for printers and copiers, so the company also provides OEM toner powders & cartridges, and inks of the leading brands.
Mr. Sanjeev Chaudhary clarifies, “Now, we want to focus more on promoting Delco inks for inkjet printers. Since April 2020, due to pandemics and lockdowns, the demand for inkjet printers has increased several-fold and we sold several hundreds of inkjet printers after April 2020. Inkjet printers today cost much less compared to laserjet printers and the cost per copy of inkjet printers is very low, so inkjet printers and inks are selling more nowadays. On the color side too, inkjet is faring far much better than laser.”
Today, Delco has over 1600 different compatible consumable items in its portfolio. Delco Copier possesses an excellent warehouse equipped to maintain the right temperature, humidity, and safety of the goods. The company has been constantly endeavoring to achieve total customer satisfaction through impeccable quality and user-friendly designs.
Mr. Sanjeev Chaudhary adds, “Our USPs remain the same as usual – uncompromising quality, good service, timely deliveries and maintain strong and long-term relationships with our partners based on trust and credibility. Our partnerships with HP, Brother, and Canon are doing well. We constantly evolve to meet the latest needs of the market and in the past decade crossed many milestones in the field of providing imaging & office automation products. We see an opportunity in every challenge. We follow the strategy of balancing between sales of compatible inks and OEM inks, and this has helped us to sustain ourselves even during the lockdowns.”
In addition to the quality of the products, Delco pays special attention to strong packaging to see that goods do not suffer wear and tear in transit and handling. The company pays special attention to product design, finish, compatibility, printing quality, shapes, sizes, etc.
Mr. Sanjeev Chaudhary concludes, “We operate pan-India though most of our customers come from North, North-East and Central India regions. We also export our products to Bhutan, Nepal, and Bangladesh, and our exports to these countries and our export sales are also steadily growing in volumes as well as values. We are currently present in 19 states, including eastern & north-eastern India, reaching through a network of 750 partners. We want to establish Delco as a premium brand for imaging consumables in the Indian imaging Industry in the coming years.”
