EFI announced that it has acquired the assets of privately held printLEADER. PrintLEADER, with headquarters in Palm City, Fla., is a provider of print MIS (management information systems) software products for the printing industry. While financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed, the acquisition is not expected to be material to EFI’s Q2 or full-year 2013 results.
“We are very pleased to have printLEADER join the EFI family and our expanding portfolio of business automation technologies,” said Marc Olin, senior vice president and general manager of EFI Productivity Software (EPS). “We also welcome printLEADER’s customers to our global client base. They will see additional opportunities through the combination of EFI’s and printLEADER’s technical innovations.”John Fleming, founder/president of printLEADER, commented that, “Our customers need to remain extremely competitive in today’s 24×7 world.
After 25 years the timing is right to join EFI, a leader in our market that produces outstanding software solutions, so we can offer our loyal customers a more robust and feature rich-suite of software products and high-value, web to print storefront solutions.”PrintLEADER’s MIS products will become integrated into EFI’s PrintSmith Vision product line, part of EFI’s EPS group. EFI will also continue to support the existing printLEADER client base, which consists of more than 800 commercial and in-plant printing operations across North America.
EFI, which is the world’s leading provider of print management and workflow software, will continue to sell its existing EPS product lines, which includes EFI PrintSmith Vision as well as EFI Pace, EFI Monarch and EFI Radius software products.
