Samsung Electronics is accelerating its forays into the U.S. office market by signing a string of contracts to sell its printers through the country’s three major office supply retail channels. The company announced on July 6 that it will start selling its nine printer models, including NFC printer, through about 2,800 stores of Staples, Office Depot, and Office Max throughout the entire part of the United States.
This is the first time for Samsung Electronics to supply its printers through the three major U.S. office supply retailers in the world’s largest market since it began the printer business. The three retail channels, including Staples, are providing office supplies such as personal computers, printers, and scanners for small- and medium-sized business customers which account for about 50 percent in the U.S. printing market.
The retail channels also provide technology services such as maintenance and repair and data management services. Samsung Electronics plans to sell nine color/black-and-white laser printers and multi-functional printers, including the “Samsung Smart Printer NFC C413, C463 Series” that it released last year.
