Please brief us about your brand philosophy, product portfolio and USPs.
We have our state-of-the-art R&D and manufacturing facilities near Nagpur (Maharashtra). We have highly qualified and well-trained product development and R&D teams. Our ISO certified manufacturing facilities are equipped with the latest, state-of-the-art instruments and equipment. Splashjet’s in-house application laboratory validates the product-performance attributes to ensure high reliability during the actual usage of the inks by the users. We work with diligence, right from the colorant selection, colorant purification, grinding of colorants into stable dispersions, and formulating inks for different print-head technology, ensuring reliable nozzle performance to fulfilling diverse application requirements of the users. We provide quality of international standard at competitive prices. Inkjet inks have a bright future in the digital printing segment.
While you are manufacturing in India, do you also import some components?
We manufacture all our inks in our own plant. With years of R&D, we have indigenously developed key technologies required for making inks. This gives us the advantage while controlling the quality and consistency. Our products offer excellent quality comparable to OEMs. There is great acceptance of Splashjet inks among the users in India and abroad. A significant portion of our raw materials is sourced domestically from India. However, products with high sensitivity to quality are imported from the best raw material suppliers from Europe & US.
How did the rising value of USD vs INR has impacted your business?
We have been able to limit the impact due to limited dependency on imports. We obtain most of our raw materials from the domestic market. Rising value of USD has continued the inflationary trend in the prices of raw materials in general. The increasing value of USD also benefits us as we are increasing our exports to other countries. Overall, the impact on our business is very less compared to the rest of the imaging industry.
Brief us about your customer-base, channel network and export activities.
We have customers pan India. In addition to that, as I said, we also export our inks to 40 countries abroad spread across all the continents. Coming to the channel, we have a channel network of over 500 dedicated dealers spread across India. Besides giving them good margins, we also provide them good marketing support. Our products are available in most of the country through our dealer network. We ensure that there is no cross-competition and partners get maximum business in their territory.
What are your future plans?
Thanks to the support from our partners, we are on track to achieve annual growth rate of 40% this financial year. Our focus is on expanding our channel partner network and strengthen our presence in those regions where we are still not strong. We are delighted by the repeat demand of Splashjet inks by the end consumers and by the feedback of our dealers about the product consistency and quality. We will continue to be a leading provider of Made in India inkjet inks. We also want to expand our exports business and want to establish Splashjet as a top global brand for inkjet inks.
