HP announced the first set of installations of the HP Latex 3000 printer in India with SR Digital Imaging-Auto Graphics a leading name in the signage industry and SSR Enterprises a full service print provider in Bangalore. Both companies have recently witnessed strong business growth and needed a more advanced printing solution that could help increase their production capacity.
The new installations are a testament to the print service providers embracing the HP Latex printing platforms for greater productivity, versatility and cost-efficiency. SSR Enterprises specializes in printing a broad range of indoor and outdoor signs, particularly in the advertising and branding segments, for customers spread across southern India. Having installed the HP Scitex XL1500 as its first HP printer in 2010, the new installation of the HP Latex 3000 represents the third HP press the company has installed in a row. “As our customer base continued to grow, we realized that we needed a more agile and steady printing solution,” said Sheik Rahamathulla, chief executive officer, SSR Enterprises.
“With the installation of the HP Latex 3000 printer we have moved to not only a more eco-friendly platform but have also overcome our earlier limitation of not being able to print on substrates like canvas and window fins.”“As prints are now more scratch resistant, we are further bringing down the cost of printing for our customers by eliminating the need of lamination,” added Rahamathulla. “With the HP Latex 3000 printer installation we can confidently execute a variety of printing jobs offering better turnaround time and lower cost of printing to our customers.” SR Digital Imaging-Auto Graphics started operations in 2003 focusing on point-of-sale merchandising projects but over the last 11 years has evolved to address the various turnkey requirements of leading national brands – from printing to fabrication. HP Latex printing technology has been the backbone of its business with a portfolio including an HP Scitex FB500 industrial printer and the HP Latex 800 printer.
“Our business has been growing steadily and we have made heavy investments in marketing to further strengthen our pan India reach for corporate clients. In line with this expansion, we felt the need to consolidate our printing operations with a more efficient solution,” said D J Bangara, managing director, SR Digital Imaging-Auto Graphics.“We are excited with the installation of the HP Latex 3000 as it is an industrial printer which offers broader media versatility, including printing on heat-sensitive substrates, which will help us meet our evolving customer needs and also grow our business avenues.” Puneet Chadha, director, market development, Graphics Solutions Business, Hewlett-Packard Asia Pacific and Japan said, “At HP, we are focused on enabling our print service providers to offer innovative solutions to their customers. With the installation of the HP Latex 3000 printers, SSR Enterprises and SR Digital Imaging-Auto Graphics can broaden their customer offerings and stay ahead of the curve.”
