Xiaomi released its new Mi Inkjet All-In-One Wireless Printer into the Chinese domestic market. The device is priced at approximately US$70. This new wireless inkjet printer from Xiaomi comes with three modes of operation — printing, copying, and scanning. Although one of the features of the printer is wireless connectivity, it still has support for a wired USB connection.
The company claims this new printer uses high-quality imported ink which has no odor. The standard full-capacity ink cartridge can be used to print around 480 pages in back and white and about 150 pages in color. Xiaomi adds its new printer also supports copying and scanning in both color and monochrome for more accuracy of handwriting. Scanned files can also be saved and archived to the smartphone using an application.
The new Mi Inkjet All-In-One Wireless printer has a visual panel on the device for settings and XiaoMi says the printer drivers are automatically installed on the computer when it is connected for the first time. Both Android and iOS platforms are supported for mobile printing. Replacement cartridges, both black and white and color, are priced at US$9.6 each.
Before the launch of the Mi Inkjet, Xiaomi has already been selling three printers in its home market — Pocket Printer, Photo Printer, and an Inkjet Printer. This new product marks the fourth printer from Xiaomi in China but the product category is yet to make its debut in other regions.
