In order to meet the huge demand from our world-wide customers, Polyton has established state-of-the art, well equipped, fully automatic computerized, manufacturing plant and R&D center manned by experienced scientists and experts in technical and chemical processing.
Polyton Color Imaging Inc, started in 2005, is a Rajkot (Gujarat)-based provider of imaging products. Under the leadership of Prajesh Patel, Director, Polyton develops, formulates, exports and supplies compatible black and color eco-friendly Chemically Produced Toners (CPT) for laser printers and copiers. In order to serve the increasing demand from the customer s (from India and abroad), Polyton has set up two state-of-the-art manufacturing plants equipped with the latest technology and machines in Rajkot (Gujarat) and Morbi (Gujarat). The R&D center of Polyton is located in Morbi (Gujarat).
Prajesh Patel comments, “We started importing toners in 2005 and in 2008 started our production of printer and copier toners. Right now we are manufacturing only toners—color and black. We manufacture export-quality toners and export to Spain, Italy, Turkey, Singapore, Dubai, African countries, republics of the erstwhile Soviet Union. Soon we are starting ceramic color inks specially meant for printing on ceramic tiles. We are also going to manufacture OPC drum and toner cartridges.”
In order to meet the huge demand from our world-wide customers, Polyton has established state-of-the art, well equipped, fully automatic computerized, manufacturing plant and R&D center manned by experienced scientists and experts in technical and chemical processing. The company develops, formulates and exports eco-friendly soy based toners for laser printers and copiers using world’s latest Chemically Product Toner (CPT) technology.
Regarding their USPs, Prajesh Patel adds, “First, we maintain international standards and OEM-level quality for our toners. Next, our price range for Indian dealers is nearly 25% to 30% less than our export price. Under Make in India programme, we get good subsidies and support from the central and state governments, as the governments want to encourage domestic manufacturing. Our clients across India and abroad admire our products for their top quality and our products are very well accepted by the partners and also users.”
A significant portion of Polyton products are exported abroad. Polyton toners offer high image density and quality at highly competitive pricing for printer models of brands such as Canon, HP, Konica Minolta, Samsung and Brother. Polyton, using flexible CPT technology, develops toners that offer a number of benefits to the users and remanufacturers.
Talking about their futures plans, Prajesh Patel states, “Our present annual growth rate is 25%. India still has a huge potential and there are few domestic manufacturers and we want to exploit this potential in the coming times. In the coming years, we want to start manufacturing units in Delhi, Bangalore, Kolkata, Indore and Guwahati, one plant in each city. And we also want strengthen our export base. We are looking for good partners before we start these plants. GST will be very good to our business especially because we operate across state boundaries, besides exporting to other countries. GST, once comes into force eliminates the hassles like filling the C-Form, multiple taxation and the consequent red tape, which are big problems at present.”
Working in harmony with customers, Polyton’s range of polymerized toners is manufactured using emulsifying polymerization process which produces round-shaped toner particles of a defined size avoiding the melt-extrusion, mechanical fine grinding and classification process involved in pulverized toner manufacturing. Chemical (or polymerized) toners or Chemically Produced Toners (CPT) offer exciting possibilities to the laser printing and digital copying industry and are specially suited to new color printing works.
