Sharma elaborates, “Inktec is one of our important providers and Inktec products form nearly 30% of our revenues and the share is growing. We want to increase Inktec’s share to 50% in the coming years. Most of our revenues come from North India including Punjab and NCR, although enough revenues come from Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and AP.”
Regarding the new central government’s policies, Sharma comments, “Government’s Make In India program is good for the country. But with the zeal to encourage domestic production, government is increasing import duty. This is making even the imports of essential products, which are not available in India, costlier. If the government wants to encourage domestic manufacturing that is good, but it should be achieved through giving tax cuts and other incentives to the domestic manufacturers, not by increasing import duties. If import duties are increased, that increase is passed on to the end user. As a result end user loses his money and also margins for providers like us decrease.”
On the machines front TANYA provides Tanya Jet industrial textile printer, heat transfer machine 10-in-1 with printer, heat press machine, dye sublimation printer Tanya Jet 1800, laser eye contour cutting plotter, Tanya Jet fusing machine and many more items at its best, with utmost quality.
Regarding challenges and future plans, Sharma asserts, “We want to expand our textile printing portfolio and heat transfer machines—roll to roll flatbed—on all India basis, besides continued focus on the printer consumables already mentioned. We do business based on trust and deliver what we promise. Our relationships are long-term. Mostly we get referral clients where several our trusted old customers recommend our brand to new customers. There were never any complaints about the quality of our products. We have that reputation in the market. Our prices are quite reasonable. In future we want to be at the top rung among providers of large format printers and printer consumables.”
