These two different engines are the latest in our “Easy to do” series. Toner cartridges that are very simple to remanufacture, do not need to be tested and have a high profit potential.
Lexmark CS720
The Lexmark CS720 is based on a 40ppm 4800DPI color engine. The toner cartridge is a small rectangular cartridge that houses the toner and reset chip. There are three different yield cartridges available for this series.

Required Supplies
- Toner for use in the CS720 toner cartridge: Choose the correct color and gram weight for your cartridge
- Replacement reset chip Choose correct color and yield
- 100% Silicon caulk (For leaks)
1) Vacuum the exterior of the cartridge
2) With the heat gun, remove the top label
3) Remove the fill plug from the toner cartridge. Dump the remaining toner.
4) Carefully vacuum/blow the cartridge clean.
5) Fill the cartridge with the appropriate color and amount of toner for use in the Lexmark CS720. Make sure you’re using the correct amount of toner to match your replacement chip.
6) Replace the fill plug and check for leaks. The plus are easily damaged. If there is a leak, seal the perimeter of the plug with 100% silicon.
7) Wipe the cartridge down to remove any remaining toner dust.
8) Take the 1.27mm Allen wrench and remove the upper small screw at the bottom of the cartridge.
9) Press in on the two tabs and release the chip holder.
10) With the 1.27mm Allen wrench remove the ship screw and chip.
11) Install a new chip and replace the screw.
12) Install the chip holder and screw.
13) Place a suitable label over the fill plug.
That’s it! You’re done!
Ricoh
The Ricoh C6003 is based on a 60ppm 1200 x 1200 DPI color engine. The toner cartridge is a long round tube type cartridge that houses the toner and reset chip.

Required Supplies
Toner for use in the Ricoh C6003 toner cartridge: Choose the correct color and gram weight for your cartridge
Replacement reset chip: Choose correct color and yield
1) Vacuum the exterior of the cartridge
2) If present, unscrew the toner cover.
3) Pull up on the three small tabs on the outer port cover and remove the cover.
4) Press down on the spring loaded toner seal and vacuum the tube clean. (allow air in so the cleaning goes faster).
5) Press in the toner port seal with the bottle funnel and fill the cartridge with the appropriate color and amount of toner for use in the Ricoh C6003. Make sure you’re using the correct amount of toner to match your replacement chip. See Figure 19
8) Remove the small chip holder from the outer port cover by pressing in on the two tabs from the inside of the cover.
9) Remove the old chip.
10) Press the new chip in from inside the holder. Make sure it snaps in place.
11) Install the chip holder, make sure the tabs lock in place.
12) Clean the end of the tube and snap the port cover into place. Make sure the three tabs lock into the correct channel.
13) Screw the toner cover in place. (If available)
